Check your video format first, it should be mp4 format. If not, you need to convert it.

and here are some steps.
1,open the program, and insert the DVD. click Load DVD to find the video you want to convert.
2,setting. choose MP4 as output format, and the folder you want to save your mp4 video in.
3,click start then wait till the process finished.
4,when you got the mp4 video, you can drag and drop it into the VIDEO folder in your MP4 player.

yep...simply change the videos format to one supported by the iphone (http://www.dvdtoiphone.net/video-format.html), load it to you itunes library and sync...any of those softwares mentioned are good. handbrake is free for windows and so is any-video-converter (http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/). i purchase nero which has a built in iphone converter. good luck to ya

DVD to iPhone: HandBrake is an excellent piece of software that will rip most, if not all DVDs, and offers multiple output formats, including iPhone/iPod Touch. Ridiculously easy to use. Performance is generally based on how good your computer is in terms of hardware etc. However, in my experience, the Mac OS X version is far superior and there are less issues with DVDs that are copy-protected. Its pretty easy man. If you are using Mac then give VISUALHUB a try, its damn good video converter. But if you are on Windows you still have couple of options, one you can use Agile iPhone Video Converter. The quality is pretty good and conversion is fast, but its a trial version and u have buy the full version. And if in case you want to do it for free, http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ is the best link. Conversion is bit slow, but what else you want for free. Quality is not too bad...
